The tardy bell rings at 7:40 am. and staff close the doors to start class. Students need to arrive BEFORE 7:40 am. If a back car rider arrives after the doors are closed, please drive your child to the front entrance of the school and walk them up to the doors to ring the bell so that he/she can come through the office for a Tardy Pass. This month's character trait is RESPECT
Cox Elementary is super excited to host our very first family book study.
We are thrilled to be using the book What Makes People TickED? by Chris “Shoof” Scheufele. He was a guest speaker at Cox Elementary last year with the support from PTA.
We are looking forward to using some of the powerful strategies from the book to kick off our road to reliance for all of our students.
● To be resilient and solve problems, big and small
● To teach students how to build strong relationships
● To grow skills for life
We can't wait to see YOU!!!
Book Fair
Book Fair is coming soon starting August 31! You can sign up to volunteer, donate snacks for our teachers, or set up your child’s eWallet so that they are ready to shop our book fair.

News from PTA
We are excited to share that PTA Memberships for this school year are now open!
Become a PTA member and support Cox Elementary by helping the PTA fund programs, events, teacher appreciation, classroom/grade level grants, school t-shirts, holiday party supplies, assembly speaker, and so much more.
Remember- memberships must be renewed each school year, and while we love to have members willing to volunteer, your $10 membership fee does a WHOLE lot of good without requiring any further commitment
Thank you to the Cox community for your support!

Grandparent's Week is Coming!!!!
Cox Elementary would like to celebrate all of our Grandparents the week of Sept. 5-11. Grandparents are invited to join their grandchild's book fair shopping time. Be on the lookout from your child's teacher for the date and time of their class shopping time for the book fair. We are reserving lunch sign ups for Grandparents only during this week.
Grandparents click on the grade level to sign up!
PACEE reach out to the teacher to schedule.
Parents: Sign ups for parents to come eat lunch with your child will be open starting Sept. 12.
Visitors at Lunch
In order for our students to learn the routines and procedures, our campus will be closed to lunch visitors until Sept. 5th. From Sept. 5-11, lunch visitors will be reserved for Grandparents only (There is a sign up genus for during this time). Lunch visitors will be open to all visitors beginning Sept. 12.
We have limited space and the tables are set up outside the cafeteria in the hallway designated for lunch visitors. Only you and your child will be able eat at the parent/student tables. No friends allowed. Lunch guests will need to bring their own lunch.
All visitors will need to check in with the office using their valid driver's license or government issued ID.
When your child's lunch time is over, visitors will need to come directly to the office and check out. For safety and security reasons, parents cannot follow students to their classroom or the playground.
In order for all parents to have the opportunity to eat lunch with their child, we ask that you limit your lunch visits to 2 times per student per grading period.
There will be some dates that our campus will be closed for lunch visitors due to events or changes in schedules. These will be communicated through Parent Square and your child's teacher.
