8.1. Each RRDN Host Organisation and the RDNCC, and RDN Staff as applicable, should support the Boards and Groups as set out in Section 12 by providing data and information, as required.
8.2. Each RRDN Host Organisation and the RDNCC, and RDN Staff as applicable, should support the monitoring and evaluation of RDN functions / services in the context of:
The Purpose and Priorities of the NIHR RDN (Sections 4 and 5 respectively).
The projects within the RDNCC Annual Business Plan for 2024/25, including the 2024/25 RDN Annual Report.
The ‘4Is’ of:
Investment (NIHR research drives economic returns, inward investment, improved productivity in health and care, and a healthier workforce).
Innovation (health and care research powers the country’s life science sector and technical advantage).
Inclusion (NIHR research identifies areas of under-representation, builds research capacity with communities and researchers, and collaborates with the public to deliver evidence-based solutions that address health and care inequalities).
Impact (NIHR research saves lives and improves the quality of life of the public, enhancing resilience and productivity).
The RDN Transformation - High Level Plan, including the collection/provision of data, where requested and available, to provide baseline and/or historical data.
Other relevant requests from the Authority (DHSC).
9.1. The RRDN Host Organisation is the legal entity that contracts with DHSC to provide all RRDN Services and activities. Each RRDN Host Organisation will have an internal governance arrangement for the RRDN contract, commensurate with the contract value in accordance with that organisation’s scheme of delegation and contract management arrangements. The format of this arrangement will not be prescribed by the RDN Board.
9.2. The RRDN should provide a quarterly report on RRDN status and performance to the Host Organisation Board.
10.1. RDNCC Performance Indicators are specific to the performance of the RDNCC. These are considered “Publishable Performance Information” meaning any of the information in performance monitoring reporting as it relates to a Performance Indicator in the table shall not constitute Commercially Sensitive Information.
10.2. The RDNCC Performance Indicators shall be used to measure the performance of the Services by the Supplier (The University of Leeds).
10.3. The Supplier shall monitor its performance against each Performance Indicator and shall send the Authority (DHSC) a report detailing the level of service achieved.
