Mr Amresh Panigrahi, a faculty member at the National Institute of Design (NID) Gandhinagar, is a key investigator for the EPSRC UK-India-funded project. He has been invited to participate in a research exchange involving a visit to Professor Love Jashon and his laboratories in the School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. This collaborative research initiative is scheduled from the 6th to the 12th of August 2023. During this research trip, Mr. Panigrahi also had the opportunity to visit Professor Sandra Wilson at the Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee.
As delegates from NID participated in the International Conference of Decode - The Sri Lanka Design Week 2018, organised by the Department of Integrated Design, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, on August 14th, 2018, I presented - "Design for Change: A Perspective of Design-led innovation in lifestyle accessory design in Indian perspective. A collaboration workshop. Engaged in support of conducting the 2 workshops on "Problem Framing to Opportunity Finding: Designing Products to Complex Systems and "‘Creative Thinker’ workshop, which aims at school children to nurture the mind of the young generation with the prof. Praveen Nahar, senior Faculty industrial design.
Nov 2013 - As a project, head lead the project “Crafting a better world through design” A craft Design Intervention to Empower the Women Basket Weavers of Ethiopia. The programme has been completed, ending with the 3rd design and development workshop that was held at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and NID. The project was sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

year Dec 2012 Thimphu,Bhutan (30 days duration) Dec 2012 - The project “Design intervention for Bamboo and Cane Artisans in Bhutan” - is an initiative under India - Bhutan craft Design initiative between NID and APIC. The project concluded with the design and development workshop held at Zhemgang, Bhutan. The project sponsor was the ministry of economic affairs, the Royal Government of Bhutan.
