Welcome to the class website for E1. This website has important information and links for students and parents. We also showcase our classwork so everyone can see the amazing things we do!
Important Things to Know
Canvas
All classwork is posted in Canvas under the unit heading. Not every assignment is turned in through Canvas, so it may be listed as missing until it is graded. At this moment, there is not a "mark as done feature" like in other programs. Please remember this when looking at the assignments. Assignments will be graded in Canvas, but the grades will be posted in Aeries.
Please become an observer for your student. The instructions can be found on the district site. You will need to coordinate with your student, as they need to provide a code. If you need additional support, please watch this video or review these instructions. Also, please load the Canvas App. It is available in Apple and Android stores. There is a student and parent version.
Aeries Parent/Student Portal
Student grades will be posted in Aeries. Please make sure you are signed up for the parent portal. This is a good place to check grades and attendance.

Thank You Goes to...
New Haven Schools Foundation!
Over the last several years, we have been fortunate enough to have been the recipient of several grants from the New Haven Schools Foundation. We have used these grants to build up our MakerSpace and 20-Time Activities. MakerSpace and 20-Time Projects give students the opportunity to think outside the box. We will work on a variety of projects to teach students how devices work, such as circuit building, product assembly, and other ways to be creative. This will allow students to transition from just using technology to creating technology.
Thank you again for another generous grant in 2021!
We received another grant in the Spring of 2018 to continue building our MakerSpace and 20-Time projects. Thank you for continuing to support our classroom. Please check out the NHSF website for upcoming events such as the Mutt Strut and the NHSF Gala.
Donor's Choose!
Donor's Choose has also given us several grants to support our classroom endeavors. We are extremely thankful for the additional supplies we have received. Please stay tuned for our next project! We greatly appreciate your support. We currently have an active project on Donors' Choose. Please check it out! Building a MakerSpace Library
Adopt-a-Classroom!
This year we were selected to be part of Adopt-a-Classroom's fall fundraising program. With the proceeds, we were able to add to the engineering part of our MakerSpace with hands-on materials. Thank you, again!
