The purpose of this chapter shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship in the students of MCS Noble Middle School. Membership in this chapter is an honor bestowed upon deserving students by the faculty and shall be based upon the criteria of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be in 7th or 8th grade
Must have been enrolled for a period equivalent to one semester at Noble
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.8
(Students meeting the initial criteria above will receive a Student Information Packet to complete for further consideration towards the end of the 1st semester of the 2026-2027 school year.)
Considered based upon service, leadership, character, and citizenship
Must not have been assigned OSS at any time during academic career at Noble
*Current 6th graders will be contacted towards the end of the 2nd nine weeks of their 7th grade year if they qualify for National Junior Honor Society and wish to seek induction.
*All volunteer hours for the year are due by June 1st. As a reminder, 7th graders should have a total of 10 hours for the year and 8th graders should have 30 hours total (10 for 7th grade and 20 for 8th grade).
All volunteer opportunities are posted in Google Classroom, as well as, the Volunteer Form that must be completed to record hours.
