Advance Art Students are required to complete a portfolio consisting of twelve developed art works that demonstrate mastery of the elements and principles of art.
Students work independently to design and produce a product with guidance and critique from peers and teacher.
Students are required to work outside of the classroom, as well as read and study to participate in class disscussions about art. Students are required to have mastered and utilized art vocabulary for deep understanding of art and its pupose and appilcation in our global world.
Students are encourage to explore meaning and expression in diversed cultures.

Advance Art Students typically take AP Studio Art and complete the requirements to receive a college credit while in high school. Students will take Advance Art in the fall semester followed by AP Studio Art in the spring semester; therefore students will use the AP ourse of study.
**** If you choose not to take AP Studio Art and want to continue taking art, you may take Advance Art for two semesters.
