Family Life Education
Parents may choose for their child to take a Family Life course as part of the PE/Health class rotation; each class lasts a few weeks.

Math - Advanced Math Guidance
Compacted classes for 6th and 7th grade, as well as NC Math 1 in 8th grade, are considered accelerated courses. In these courses, students are responsible for their current grade's math standards and additional standards from future grade levels. These courses are more challenging, require a deeper understanding, and progress at a faster pace. They may also demand more independent work from students. Placement in these classes is based on specific criteria. Please review this doc with your child.

Open House Information!
Attention Trask Families! We are excited to welcome you into the building for our 25-26 open house. The open house is scheduled for Tuesday August 19, 2025. We have two options available for you and your family to accommodate your schedules. Please read through the flyer.
As a reminder, all students MUST be accompanied by an adult for all options.
There are three options to select from.
Receive schedule; no teacher meet: 2:30-3:30 pm at the cafe lobby entrance.
Receive schedule, meet teachers, and attend organized/structured sessions.
4:30-6:00 pm (doors open at 4:00 in the gym)
Sensory-friendly option anytime before 11:30. Please email Andreea.Croom@nhcs.net if you need this option

Step Up To Middle School - February 12, 2025 Tours start promptly at 6pm
Arrive at 5:30 to join PTA, meet other families, shop our spirit wear store, and mingle
Go to the gym to start. You'll be assigned a tour group and our Cheer Team Ambassadors will guide you to each station. Invitation link
