Dear 8th Grade Students and Families,

As you prepare to transition from middle to high school, there are several options available for you.

Each of the eight high schools in New Hanover County offers specialized program options.  In order

for you to learn more about these options, the district will be hosting presentations across theupcoming months.

A programming representative will visit the middle schools to answer questions from 8th grade students, followed by regional evening presentations for parents-guardians. The evening presentations will include a brief program overview by each specialized option’s coordinator, with a question-and-answer session to follow.

The schedule for the schools’ day/night presentations is listed below. If you are unable to attend the regional evening presentations, you will have another opportunity to attend the program presentation at each individual school in December. We look forward to sharing the wide range of options that NHCS high schools and early colleges have to offer!

Programming representative at middle schools (during school day):

November 7 - Murray, Roland Grise

November 8 - Noble, Holly Shelter

November 9 - Holly Shelter, Williston, Trask
