This year in Eureka Squared we will cover a lot of topics including: word problems involving all operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), place value, rounding, multi-digit multiplication, multi-digit by one digit division, finding equivalent fractions, comparing & ordering fractions, adding & subtracting fractions & mixed numbers, converting fractions to decimals & decimals to fractions, comparing decimals, measuring angles & classifying angles, elapsed time, area & perimeter, and classifying triangles & quadrilaterals.

This year in Wit & Wisdom students will shift from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." In fourth grade students will read a mixture of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. In literary stories students will be making inferences, analyzing character and plot development, and identifying themes. In informational text students will be determining text structure, text features, author's purpose, and main ideas.
Social Studies
Social Studies
This year in social studies students will be learning about the development of North Carolina through Studies weekly. Students will learn how different events and people have influenced NC and how it was shaped into the state that it is today.
Science
Science
This year students will be learning about types of energy & energy resources, landforms, moon phases, and plants & animals. The country provides science kits filled with supplies to support hands on learning experiences targeted towards our units of science.
