Step by Step Application Process
There are 3 steps to the Dual Enrollment Application:
Step 1. Online Application through CFNC.org
Step 2. Pathway Approval Form (DocuSign form)
Step 3. NHCS Parent/Student Agreement Packet
ALL 3 steps must be submitted for your application to be processed.
Step 1.Online application through CFNC.org
- You will need to start by creating a CFNC account if you do not have an account already. We recommend using a personal email. Go CFNC.org, click on LOG IN, click on Create one today!
After you have created an account/logged in to CFNC:
- Go to Apply to College, then click on Application Hub.
- Click Start an Application
- Choose the application for Cape Fear Community College that says "Cape Fear Community College Dual Enrollment (CCP) Application"

Step 2. Pathway Approval Form(s) - indicate the specific pathway you are applying to. Click HERE for detailed instructions on how to fill out the forms.
*If you are applying to a College Transfer Pathway (must have a 2.8 unweighted GPA) - fill out THIS FORM.

Step 3. Student/Parent Acknowledgment Packet- You AND a parent/guardian will need to complete the acknowledgement packet and return it to Laney's front office before your pathway will be approved. This is a paper form that will need to be picked up at an information session, a Flex session, or from the main office.
***After you have completed all 3 steps - it can take up to 7 - 10 business days (up to 2 weeks total) for your CCP application to be processed. You will be notified via email and a letter will be sent in the mail regarding your approval and next steps. Be sure to check the email that you used on your pathway form.***
