Stop by and pick something up today!
Books in the Library Collection
The New Glarus and Middle and High School library contains almost 10,000 books! We have collections of fiction for both middle schoolers and young adults, nonfiction books to support students in their research, and a graphic novels collection that contains some of our most popular titles. You can also borrow test prep books, college and career planning guides, and a wide range of reference books. To browse the online catalog, please go to the Destiny webpage.
Ebooks
Through our OverDrive system, students have access to electronic books for both classroom and personal reading. These books can be read on any internet enabled device and can be downloaded for reading offline. Our ebooks allow students to take notes, bookmark compelling passages, and define vocabulary words as they read.
Audiobooks
Also on OverDrive are our audiobooks, which allows students to check out sound recordings of various titles. These audiobooks also allow for book marking and use on all internet devices as well as downloading. Many students find it helpful to "read along" with the audiobook by also checking out a physical copy of the same title from the library. For more information on audiobooks and literacy, go here.
Topic Collections
We have books on a variety of topics for both research and recreational reading. Please see Ms. McBride if you would like a set of books pulled for a class or project.
