School opening in chinese new year holiday

Whilst the school will be staffed by administrators during the upcoming Chinese New Year Break, please note that it will be completely closed from noon on Thursday 15 February to give staff an early release on the eve of Chinese New Year.

Mother Tongue news, for our bilingual and multilingual learners

We currently offer paid Mother Tongue provision in the following languages:

• Chinese (during key curriculum time),
• French
• Japanese
• Polish
• Russian

We are looking to recruit teachers to teach a weekly class in the following languages: Arabic (2nd language), German, Hindi, and Korean. If you have not already expressed your initial interest for your son or daughter to take part, please contact mothertongue@nexus.edu.sg. We will contact those families of learners that we know use these languages at home if we are able to form a group. If you or any friends or colleagues are suitably experienced or qualified to teach this language to primary learners, we encourage you or them to contact hr@nexus.edu.sg

Interest has also been expressed in Italian and Hindi and we will be contacting families individually to see if there is a sufficient level interest to look to start classes in these subjects. Alternatively, please let us know by emailing mothertongue@nexus.edu.sg if you would like your children to included in any class we may be able to offer.
