After Adam Landau graduated from Nexus in 2016, he went on to study journalism in Kent. Adam dropped in to visit in January and it was great to catch up with him to find out what he’s been up to. He casually mentioned that he may have done quite well in his Journalism course. I happened to see this post from Adam on Facebook yesterday saying he had gained the highest score in the NCTJ Essential Journalism. Adam’s own words demonstrate his humility:
“Yesterday I went all the way to the Financial Times office in London to pick up this piece of A4 paper with my name printed on it. It informs me of the fact that, apparently, I got the highest NCTJ Essential Journalism result of the 2018-19 exam season. I'm pleased, surprised and a tad confused, but certainly not complaining. An extremely productive day, though, mainly because I got a free sandwich.”
This is a great achievement for Adam who has already had several articles published in various magazines. It is fantastic to see our learners doing so well in their endeavours after Nexus.
