The Year 10 trial exams will take place between Monday 12 April - Wednesday 21 April 2021. Details can be found here.
Please note that all Cambridge IGCSE examinations and IB Diploma examinations are set by external organisations and marked externally to the school. As such we have no control over the dates of these examinations and cannot reschedule them for individuals. If a learner arrives late or is absent, they will be unable to sit the exam at another date.
Timetables for final examinations can be found here:
IB Examination Timetable for May 2021 available here.
IGCSE Examination Timetable for June 2021 available here.
As you should already know, Edexcel cancelled their IGCSE examinations and teachers will have to submit the grades so that learners can be awarded qualifications. Learners in Y11 who would have been taking Edexcel examinations in History, Geography or English Literature will sit internal timed assessments on Tuesday 6 April. This opportunity enables them to show how they have improved since the trial examinations and is deliberately in advance of the main examination dates. It will also be used as one of the pieces of evidence to arrive at the grade the teacher submits. It will not be the only piece of evidence used. Teachers and departments have worked with learners to clarify the nature and detail of these assessments.
IGCSE examination details can be found here. If you have any questions about IGCSE examinations for Year 11 learners, please contact our Y10 & 11 Phase Leader, Sonny Feng at feng.s@nexus.edu.sg.
IB examinations are going ahead with some adaptations. The IB has released a list of frequently asked questions available here for more information. If you have any questions about IB examinations for Year 13 learners, please contact our IBDP Coordinator, Melanie Brown at brown.m@nexus.edu.sg.

We received some extremely sad news last week that Joseph Loy passed away. He was an amazing member of our community who will be missed by many. He left Nexus two years ago for cancer treatment and would have been in Year 12 this year. You may remember the 'Hair for Hope' event in 2018 that was arranged by his friends to raise money for cancer research. His friends were an incredible support to Joseph and we are doing what we can to support all those who knew him.
If you knew Jospeh and would like to pay tribute to him, please add your comments to this Facebook page that has been set up by his family. Our thoughts are with the family at this most difficult time.
