Diversity Week - ME, YOU, US!
We are looking forward to a great week of learner-led activities and diversity-focused lessons, centred around our theme of Me, You, Us. Look out for national flags on display in the bus bay on the 26th to celebrate the annual United Nations Day. Also on display will be beautiful infographics designed by our Year 10 and Year 11 learners in their tutor groups providing fun facts about different countries. Learners will be able to vote for their favourite infographic as they arrive on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
Throughout the week both primary and secondary learners are encouraged to sign up to sing or dance their own items on our open stage space that will be set up for lunchtime performances on Monday 22nd, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th outside the Staff Lounge. We will have a round of United Nations Basketball challenge in the gym at lunch break for Secondary learners and a coin donation to watch the action will go to a selected charity. Student council are supporting another afternoon of stalls with food and activities that represent our unique cultures on Friday 26th and everyone in the community is welcome to dress in traditional clothing for the day or wear clothing that represents their unique identity.
We thank the Student Council for their support and planning. Some images from past Diversity Weeks are below to inspire you!
