All learners are invited to dress up for Halloween on Friday, 29 October. We recognise that with the shifting restrictions, many children may not be able to go trick or treating so we thought we would once again bring the dressing-up back to school!
When choosing costumes, please be mindful that we have young learners who may be frightened by the costumes. We seek your understanding to refrain from choosing a costume that is too graphic and frightening.
On Tuesday, 2 November, we will be celebrating Deepavali - Festival of Lights, with our Hindu families.
All learners are invited to wear traditional Hindu or Indian dress for the day. Alternatively, children can wear their school uniform.
The Green Guardians CCA is planning to take action through redeveloping some of the spaces around school, and adding greenery and plants to our environment. The papaya seedlings which many learners planted during our Earth Week last year are now ready to be repotted and added to some of the green spaces around the canteen and play areas. So now, we need your help!
If you have any half empty bags of soil which you need to get rid of or stacks of old pots in a corner at your home, the Green guardians would like to recycle them for you. During the first week of Term 2, we will be collecting any unused items that you can bring in so that we can get started on our project. See the poster for more items which you may be able to donate.
We will share our progress and maybe you will even be sampling some of the edibles in the school lunches soon! Watch this space!
