Thank you for supporting your child, our learner and joining the Learning Conferences. Some of you have asked about the time slots. It is simply not possible for secondary teachers to see all their learners if we increase the time slots. This is true if we run the conferences in the daytime or evenings. The reality of secondary school is that teachers teach multiple classes across multiple year levels.

If we were to hold a single year level event, there would be teachers with more than one class who could not see all learners and their families in the allotted time. Therefore, we use a model that allows the majority of families to see their child's teacher twice a year as opposed to a single year level system that enables families to see teachers just once a year. We understand the model we used this year was different and welcome your feedback.
