PYP Explained:
Exploring the IB Learner Profile
Here at Nexus the IB Learner Profile is at the centre of everything we do. During this workshop Fiona Lewis our Head of Primary and Paul Rimmer our PYP coordinator will explore the IB learner profile attributes in more depth to help you understand what they are and why they are important. They will also run through how our essential agreements and the RECIPE support the development of the learner profile. Learn how our teaching teams plan for the learner profile to be taught through our units of inquiry.

THE SCIENCE OF LEARNING:
THE HABITS OF SUCCESSFUL IGCSE AND IBDP LEARN
Learn more about how Nexus teachers use established neuroscience research to inform learning and teaching. This interactive session will give you practical and science-informed advice on how to support your child towards making greater progress in their learning. This session is open to all interested Nexus parents but is particularly recommended to looking for ways to support their child through the IGCSE or IBDP programs.
Nexus Triathlon Team
Are you a budding triathlete, or looking to try out multisports for the first time? If so, we have a great opportunity for you. Nexus learners who turn 8 or older in 2023 can enter the 2023 Metasprint Series kids and youth races as part of Team Nexus, and help us earn points towards becoming School Challenge Champions! The Metasprint Series consists of an aquathon, duathlon and triathlon, held in February-March 2023. The events are fun, friendly and geared towards beginners. Further details can be found on the Metasprint Series website.
Learners can also benefit from a 5% discount code on their registrations. Just enter MSS23DMNEXUS and select Nexus International School in the dropdown box on the registration form (only available to Nexus learners).
If you are in Years 3-6, keep an eye out for the Primary Triathlon CCA, which will run in Season 2 and give you an opportunity to train for these events whilst having fun.
