Primary Brass Group

It has been exciting to hear the sound of trumpets and trombone in the music department as Mr Steven Williams our new music teacher has launched the Primary Brass Group for Beginners. Learners have been enjoying getting to grips with learning the basic skills of producing a good tone, reading notation and playing simple songs. This week the Primary learners had a special guest to help them. It was Ms Lambert's dad! Mr Richard is an ex-trumpeter with many years of experiences teaching brass instruments in the UK but was also a professional trumpeter performing with the London Symphony Orchestra and appearing numerous times alongside acts on Top of the Pops!

These learners are doing so amazingly well they will very soon be appearing in a Primary assembly and showcasing their progress and talents! Mr Steven is already looking forward to welcoming new members to the group when Season 2 of CCA's start. This CCA is free and is a great way to try out an instruments; you also get a lovely new instrument to take home and use for 8 weeks! We have red, blue and yellow instruments!!!!

Lots of fun with Mr Steven - just look at the smiles on their faces!!!!
