Following the success of the Term 1 Market Day, we would like to extend the opportunity for Primary learners to take part in the Nexus Mini Merry Christmas Fair.
Learners in Years 1 to 6 can develop a stall for the Fair on after school on Thursday, 5 December.
Due to the large nature of the event, learners will require an adult (either a teacher, parent or secondary learner) to help supervise them for the duration that they run the stall.
Learners also need to be mindful if they are performing in the carol concert to not double book themselves.!
Learners can sign up using their Nexus email on this link. Applications are due November 29.
On Tuesday, 3 December, Phase One will hold our annual Christmas Marketplace. Nursery and Kindergarten families are invited to join us from 8.40am until 10.00am for a festive morning of Christmas crafting and carols. We will begin in the pod area, where the children will sing a wonderful selection of carols from around the world, which they have been learning with Mr Chris over recent weeks. After, families are welcome to join us in our classrooms to spend time with your children, cutting, sticking and covering everything in glitter. We look forward to celebrating with you all.
Our trip is fast approaching. Here are a few helpful reminders before we head off next week.

We are doing a photography contest in school, because there has never been a photography contest in school and it will be interesting to see other people’s perspectives of Singapore.
There are three different categories you can choose from: Singapore, nature and people.
Learners can enter by filling out the form from this link using their Nexus email. Any child in Primary School (Nursery to Year 6) can enter as long as the child took the photo. Please do not add filters or words to the photo.
Entries close on December 1. We will announce the winner in assembly. The prize will be a nice printout of the photo you've taken.
Year 5 learners have been exploring 'How the World Works'. Our central idea is 'Scientific inquiry helps us to investigate changing states of matter.' To support our Unit of Inquiry, ‘Forces can lead to change,’ the Year 1 learners will be visiting the Science Centre where they will have the opportunity to participate in the awesome ‘Blast Off’ workshop. Through this hands-on workshop, learners will build their own rockets and inquire into the physics behind rocket science.

Parents are invited to join the Year 1 learners on Thursday 5, December as they share with you their learning on 'Forces Can Lead to Change'. The Mini Exhibition will start at 9 am and end at 10 am and will take place in the Year 1 learning spaces. This is a wonderful opportunity for the learners to take on their role as a Scientist, as they teach you the experiments they have conducted throughout this Unit of Inquiry. Please inform your child's homeroom teacher if you are unable to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
