Last week Year 4 learners headed out to one of two places: Chinatown and Singapore’s old areas that Sir Stamford Raffles noted as ‘European Town’. The learners selected one experience. They visited numerous museums, sketched buildings, visited places of worship, walked along old streets and took in the sights, sounds and smells of Singapore’s beautiful old areas.
This concludes our day trips for the unit, but the Malacca residential trip is next up! Thank you to all the parents that volunteered to assist - we sincerely appreciate you offering your time to help on school trips.
Last week Year 2 learners visited Jurong Lake Gardens to support their current Unit of Inquiry ‘Lifestyle choices affect our bodies in different ways’. The learners made some great connections with our work in the classroom as they stretched their muscles, got their hearts and lungs working and used their brains to navigate obstacles. The mindful snack spot chosen by some of the learners was possibly not as relaxing as they had initially hoped, due to a suspicious crocodile-shaped rock. However, It didn't stop the children enjoying the delicious, healthy snacks they had chosen for themselves.
