Drop in at morning drop-off in the Eco Cafe to say 'hi' to some of the NCG members. We’d love to hear your feedback and answer any questions if you have a minute or two.
Please join us for our first NCG event. This is an evening event - open to all parents and guardians (adults only please).
Please respond if you can/can not make it- it takes literally 2 seconds- and it will really help us figure out the space we need. We hope to see you there!

NCG Committee would like to take the opportunity to share more about ourselves. Each newsletter we’ll profile one of our 2022 NCG members.
This week we would like to introduce Sarah.
“Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am one of the new members of the 2022/23 Nexus Community Group (aka NCG). I am from Melbourne, Australia and only moved to Singapore 4 months ago with my husband and son, Owen, who is currently in Yr6. Our daughter, Safana decided to stay in Melbourne to finish her university degree, making this move extremely hard knowing she wasn’t coming with us. However, as hard as it was saying goodbye to her, we have settled quickly into a new way of living and absolutely loving our new life in Singapore. I joined the NCG as I was looking to volunteer my time and after some involvement in the Halloween event and now the Christmas event, I was excited to stay involved long term! I have a social work background and feel my skills, knowledge and passion will be well utilised by the NCG team and wider school community. I am very friendly and approachable so if you have any ideas you want to pitch to the NCG, please don’t hesitate to seek out me or other members of the team to discuss😊”

As we move into Christmas festivities, Halloween may seem like a haunted memory - but we can’t go past congratulating this awesome event!
With over 700 attendees, our first ever Aljunied campus event exceeded all expectations. Dozens of parent volunteers, learners and staff worked collaboratively to deliver a super fun Halloween Party - replete with disco, Haunted House, amazing food and activities - in record short time and record low budget, raising record $ to support future fun events!
Massive thank you to the organising committee - Brittany King, Kay Chester-Penn, Suse Lyons, Julie Samra, Lakshmi Sudeesh, Priyanka Vanjani, Adelle Doxey, Catherine Wong and special mention to Wishny Krishnarajah — who worked with dozens of volunteers (thank you to every one of you!!!). Special thanks to learners - DJ Zippy, Marta, Erica, Callisto, Lawerence, Avi, Emma, Evangeline and Tobias. We could go on! There has NEVER been this many volunteers working so hard on an NCG event. The creativity, generosity, collaboration and spirit of everyone involved has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you!!!
