It wasn’t long ago we were running, jumping and throwing our way around a stadium and the back field of Nexus. It’s now hard to believe that the Inter-house Swim Galas are just around the corner. On Tuesday, 17 and Wednesday, 18 April, all primary learners will be taking part in Inter-house Swim Galas. These will be held at the Nexus Swimming Pool.

Learners have been developing their swim skills throughout the academic year in their aquatic-based Health and Physical Education lessons. This will be an opportunity for them to put those skills into practice and 'have a go'. The focus of the days will be on participation in a fun and encouraging environment, and working together with learners in your house. Please note that classes will run as normally timetabled for the remainder of the day.

Please feel free to come along at the appropriate time mentioned below to support your child/ward and join in the house spirit.

Tuesday, 17 April

• Nursery 9.00am - 9.40am
• Kindergarten and Year 1 10.00am - 11.45am
• Year 2 and 3 1.30pm - 3.20pm

Wednesday, 18 April

• Year 4, 5 and 6 8.40am - 10.40am
• Year 7, 8 and 9 11.05am - 1.05pm

Please also ensure your child/ward brings the following items to school on the day of their gala:

• House T-Shirt (available at Bibi and Baba). In exceptional circumstances when you are unable to purchase the correct colour/size, a plain t-shirt of the correct colour may be used (your child/ward’s house colour can be viewed in the Parent Portal).
• Suitable swimsuit
• Hat
• Sun Block
• An extra healthy snack
• Water bottle
• Learners may also choose to show their house spirit by wearing wigs, caps or face paint in their house colour
