Nexus International School, Singapore Elite and Senior swim squad returned to Thanyapura, Phuket to participate in a high performance swim camp. Running from October 7-13, and with 28 swimmers and 3 coaches attending, Nexus coaches put together a comprehensive and challenging programme that pushed all squad members to their limits. The daily programmes were built around both double swim sessions and land based gym sessions. Video analysis was included for each member of the squad, in order to support feedback and feed forward. This provided squad members with a one to one session with their coaches around performance and stroke.
Other highlights of the week included playing Ultimate Frisbee, an obstacle course session and heading to the beach where many attempted surfing. The squad also enjoyed the fresh meals prepared by Thanyapura, in conjunction with their nutritionist, with many ingredients coming from their own farm here in Phuket, a practice that strongly supports Nexus International School's sustainability drive, and connects with Taylors School's CARE:MVMT 'CARE:WORLD' and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 'Sustainable cities and communities'.
