Seeing so many of our parents attend our Welcome Evening last night was exciting. Teachers were on hand to answer questions about CCAs, sports, Seesaw, Canvas, and music ensembles or just to chat about school life. The NCG (Nexus Community Group) reps were also on hand to tell parents about exciting events they have in store for our school community.
Parents eagerly filed into their respective meeting points to hear from our Senior Leadership Teams. Both venues were filled to the brim as they listened to what they could expect from the coming school year. Moving into their respective year group areas, parents then heard from the year group leaders before meeting their child/ren's tutor group teacher.
It was a fabulous way for parents and teachers to connect and put a face to new names. Thank you to all who could attend. We eagerly look forward to meeting more of our parents as the year progresses, creating a warm and welcoming school community.
This morning, we hosted the NCG parent meeting to discuss what parents can expect from this school year. It was great to see so many friendly faces from our parent community. Our Principal, Simon Mann, dropped by to welcome attendees, while Jeremy Lewis, our Marketing and communications Manager, spoke on how the school and parent community can work together to create a fun environment for not only our learners but also the parents.
Michelle Thum, the interim Vice-Chairperson, reviewed the upcoming events and how parents can contribute to our growing group of volunteers. We invite all parents to see how they can help out. This month, we elect the vice chair and treasurer and ask parents to make up the NCG volunteer committee members. We hope that you can contribute some of your time to our school community.
