Dear Nexus Families,
We’re thrilled to bring you the latest news and highlights from the Nexus Community Group.
Parent Day Trip to the Sungei Buloh Wetlands and Bollywood Veggies
Our first-day trip for the school year was a real adventure! We explored the Sungei Buloh wetlands on foot and came close to some fantastic wildlife, including vibrantly coloured snakes, birds and many monitor lizards. Some of us even spotted huge saltwater crocodiles. Following our wetlands adventure, we headed to the nearby Bollywood Vegetables for a farm-to-table lunch. The day was an excellent chance to get to know each other and connect with Singapore’s natural beauty.

We are beginning to plan for our Diwali celebration at the end of October. Two wonderfully skilled parents have volunteered to teach a simple Bollywood dance. We are looking for parents and teachers who want to join in and have some fun learning together. We aim to put on a small performance as part of the school’s celebration but feel free to join the dance lessons just for fun. Express your interest by joining the NCG Bollywood Dance chat on WhatsApp.
As we approach the holiday season, planning for our Christmas Fair is underway. The theme of our event is “Nexmus Around the World” and it promises to be a festive extravaganza, filled with fun activities, delicious treats and of course a visit from Santa. We’re looking for parent volunteers to help with things like making decorations, donating food for the bake sale and helping out on the day. If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to us via the Nexmas 2024 Volunteers WhatsApp chat.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported and participated in our events. Your involvement and enthusiasm make our community stronger and more vibrant. Stay tuned for more updates and upcoming activities.
