KEY, PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
Maximum number of CCAs for Kindergarten; Years 1 and 2 learners
Learners in Kindergarten will be allocated a maximum of one CCA. Swimming is not part of the maximum count for Kindergarten.
Learners in Years 1 and 2 will be allocated a maximum of two CCAs. ACSIS Sports, Music and Swimming is not part of the maximum count for Years 1 and 2.
Allocation of CCAs
CCAs are not first-come, first-served. They are allocated based on preference using SchoolsBuddy's random allocation system. All requests are subject to availability, and learners may not always receive their first choice. Please select additional activities so that we are aware of your child's other interests in case their first or second choice is unavailable.
CCA GATHERING POINT
Primary learners will be directed to the relevant activity meet up points. Secondary learners should go directly to the location of their activity. The location information can be found on SchoolsBuddy.
PICK UP POINT
After CCAs in the afternoon, learners can be picked up from the Level 2 glass door, outside the Learner Services office. Younger learners who are taking the CCA bus will be taken to the bus bay by the CCA teacher.
SUPERVISION OF LEARNERS ON THE SCHOOL SITE AFTER 3.30pm
Parents, Guardians, and registered Carers or Helpers and SUPERVISED siblings may wait in the Eco Cafe to collect a learner whilst a CCA or Nexus sports training event is in session.
PAID CCAS - COSTS AND MAKING PAYMENT
Many CCAs are offered free of charge; if there is a cost associated with the CCA, this will be clearly indicated. Payments for CCAs should be made once your child receives confirmation of a place on this activity. All payments should be made online (see below). Please note that all CCA payments should be completed by Friday 11th April 2025 (end of the third week of CCAs).
COMMITMENT TO CHOSEN ACTIVITIES
Learners will only be able to attend their CCA in week 3 if payment has been made in full. Please note, in order to be fair to our external providers, our policy is that all CCA choices will be taken as final at the end of week 2. You will be billed for the whole season for all paid CCAs your child is registered for at the end of week 2. If a learner does not attend the first two sessions of any CCA activity, whether paid or unpaid, they will be deregistered from the activity and the place may then be offered to another learner.
ABSENCE FROM CCAS AND ACTIVITY/TRIP CLASHES AND UNFORESEEN CANCELLATIONS
Please be aware that if your child is absent or a paid CCA is cancelled by the school due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. haze or adverse weather, there will be no ‘make-up’ class or reimbursement. This also applies to school day trips and overnight camps.
*During the initial two weeks of a CCA, we consider it a "TRIAL" period for learners. If a learner decides to leave within this timeframe, no charges will be incurred, and our vendors won't bill us for their participation during this period.
*Starting from the third week of the CCA, the full payment will be charged, regardless of whether a learner joins in the first or second week of the CCA.
When planning CCA seasons, we do not count Public Holidays and School Holidays.
