With an additional emphasis on service learning, our Year 8 trip takes place at Telunas, Indonesia. Learners take part in team building activities such as the low ropes course, fire building and deck jumping as well as local crafts like ceramic tile making. This trip involves a village project where learners contribute to a community nearby as well as the adventurous overnight hike and camp in the jungle.

Overcoming fears and travel outside comfort zones as learners sleep in the jungle
Developing greater independence and autonomy
Erecting a hammock and taking responsibility for creating a sleeping space
Crafting using local resources and techniques (tiles and fishing)
A greater understanding of what is means to be a global citizen
