Dear Families,
This week we have been reading the story 'Clean Up' which is set in Jamaica. We have been thinking about how Jamaica is different from our country and what it means to be a 'tropical island'.Â
The children have enjoyed exploring our theme of beaches, under the sea and  the types of creatures found in Jamaica.
Please remember to keep watching the phonics videos as well as supporting your child to read their 'sound blending' books to help them with their reading of short words.
Have a lovely weekend!
Best wishes,
Reception Team

Please practise these words at home with your child.
Please ensure that all of your child's uniform is named so that it can be returned if lost. Please also name hats, scarves, gloves and coats.Â
PE is every Wednesday. Please send your child to school dressed in their PE kit and appropriate shoes.
Book Day is also on Wednesday - remember to bring your old book to school to change for a new one.
Please make sure that your child brings a water bottle to school every day.
You are invited to our EYFS Come Learn with Me event on Tuesday 16th January - 9-9.30am.
We look forward to seeing you there!
