Dear Families,
This week we have continued our new topic learning, based on the story of 'The Water Princess'. We have been thinking about Georgie's village and how her village contrasts to bigger cities in Burkina Faso and where we live.
We enjoyed world book day and loved seeing the fantastic costumes!
Please remember to keep watching the phonics videos as well as supporting your child to read their 'sound blending' books to help them with their reading of short words.
The children have changed phonics groups, so remember to ask them who's group they are in.
Have a lovely weekend!
Best wishes,
Reception Team

Please practise these words at home with your child.
Teen Numbers
We have been learning numbers 16-20 this week.
We can now count to 20 using objects and words. We can also recognise and write these numbers.
Please ensure that all of your child's uniform is named so that it can be returned if lost. Please also name hats, scarves, gloves and coats.
PE is every Wednesday. Please send your child to school dressed in their PE kit and appropriate shoes.
Book Day is also on Wednesday - remember to bring your old book to school to change for a new one.
Please make sure that your child brings a water bottle to school every day.
