You can find information on physical development, gross motor activities, places to go for community outings and summer fun on our web pages.

We created this website to be a resource for parents and educators. On this page you will find a list of gross motor age expectations. Please do not be overly alarmed if for example, your 3 year old does not perform all of the three-year-old skills. Development is not linear and it is perfectly normal to have some gaps in gross motor development. In addition to typical development, this website also has suggestions about how to practice certain skills. We have chosen to break down skills monthly or bimonthly (skill of the month) but they are primarily listed in developmental order. Pick a month where your child needs practice and “jump” in. All monthly skills will help build strength, coordination and balance. They are meant to also be fun activities that you can participate in along with your child. In some cases we have posted letters that explain the skills and others are self-explanatory. We also have suggestions for summer practice but they do not need to be limited to summer, as well as community outing suggestions and links to useful articles. If you have any questions about your child's development and/or any of the activities, please feel free to email us.
