Hi! My name is Nicole Feroleto and I am the Math Coach at Burr and Lincoln Eliot Schools in Newton, MA. This is my seventh year as a math coach. Prior to becoming a coach, I taught fifth grade for 10 years in Arlington and Belmont, MA.
I love working with students on math, particularly as they make discoveries with numbers. Conceptual learning, inquiry and critical thinking guide my practice. I believe that any student can learn math given the right tools and instruction. Below find some of my favorite articles on math instruction in today's classrooms.
When I am not thinking about math, I am spending time with my (almost) 4 year old daughter who loves reading books, dancing, painting and Frozen's Elsa and Anna.
