Mx.* Torres was born in Denver, Colorado, but feels fortunate to have grown up in the warm coastal city of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. After attending Cranbrook Kingswood boarding school in Michigan, he moved to Boston where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology (2010). It wasn't until after being accepted into a Masters of Architecture program that he found himself more interested in youth outreach work than the “headaches of design.”
Mx. Torres graduated from Northeastern University (2016) with a Masters Degree and licenses in Elementary Education as well as Special Education. Having completed all his student teaching at Bowen Elementary in 4th grade (general edu) and then 2nd grade (special edu), Mx. Torres is extremely excited to continue teaching students in 5th grade in the Bowen community.
During free time you can find Mx. Torres playing a seasonal sport, swimming with his New England Masters Swim Team, working out at a Crossfit box, or eating tapas at Toro in the South End. Otherwise, much time is spent with his spouse pampering their pug (Mia) and shepard/doberman rescue (Travieso or "Travi") at their home in Quincy.
