HACC Dual Enrollment Applications are available online at HACC Dual Enrollment
Steps to Apply:
Students apply online (https://www.hacc.edu/Admissions/HighSchoolStudents/apply-and-enroll.cfm)
Students complete the signature page and include Mrs. Grigoryan's email (kgrigoryan@newportsd.org); the signature page will be completed by Mrs. G and your official transcript will be sent
Students receive an acceptance email and will follow the steps in the email to set up their myHACC accounts
Placement tests may be required. Find additional information about placement testing here.
Students must regularly check their HAWKmail. All emails regarding testing and scheduling classes will be sent there.
Pay tuition for dual enrollment courses (failure to pay will result in being dropped from a course).

Students are responsible for providing the school counselor with course enrollment updates and final grades for dual enrollment courses. Failure to communicate could delay graduation and inaccurate transcripts.
Harrisburg University Dual Enrollment Applications are available online at HU Dual Enrollment

Students complete their online application and request an official transcript be sent to HU
Placement tests may be required.

Registration for dual enrollment happens during the school year. A representative from Lackawanna College will visit Newport to register students. Please check with your school counselor to find out what courses are eligible and when the registration day is at Newport.
