12.1 The right of payroll deduction for payment of organizational dues shall be accorded by the Board exclusively to the Association and shall not be accorded any other organization whose members are part of the bargaining unit represented by the Association. Association members who currently have authorization cards on file for the above purposes need not reapply. State and National Association dues and fees, upon formal written request from the State and National Association to the District, shall be increased or decreased without authorization from the teachers.
12.2 Pursuant to authorization by the teacher, the Board shall deduct 1/10th of the Association dues and fees from the regular salary check of the teacher. Deductions for teachers who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated to complete the payment by the end of the school year.
12.3 Upon appropriate written authorization from the teacher, the Board will deduct from the salary of any teacher and make appropriate remittance for annuities, credit union, savings bond, insurance premiums, or charitable donations, or any other plans or programs approved by the District and Association.
12.4 The Association agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the employer for any loss or damages arising from the operation of this Article. It is also agreed that neither any employee nor the union shall have any claim against the employer for any deductions made
