The Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Astronomical Society was founded in 1904 and continues to engage in theoretical and practical astronomy.

Monthly meetings are held at Summerhill Bowling Club, NE4 6EH, at 7pm. 

These meetings are held between the months of September to May and are usually on the third Thursday of the month. Doors open at 6:30pm. Please refer to the programme for specific dates and more information regarding the talks.

Refreshments are served with informal chats following the lectures, which can also include guidance on equipment or observing on clear nights! Members and visitors are very welcome to bring their own equipment.
