I am super excited to work with you.
And, for the new folks, welcome. You win! You got music on your schedule!!! YES!!!!!!!!
This year, we will learn how to play the guitar. The goal is to provide students with a strong foundation so that you can pursue your own areas of interest upon successful completion of this course. We will learn:
Chords, chord progressions, and songs.
Notation: both rhythmic and standard notation plus tablature.
To play in multiple formats: Solo playing, small group, and ensemble performance.
As an educator who has spent decades teaching woodwind, brass, and percussion (I know, I know . . . I'm old), I am looking forward to sharing guitar with you. It's going to be great!
