Mrs. Holderman is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling Supervisor who has been an advocate for students and families across the state of KY for the past 25+ years. Mrs. Holderman’s career has included working as an Associate Professor of Psychology and Human Services, working in private practice, serving as a Mental Health Specialist in another KY school district, serving as a clinical supervisor for newly licensed therapist, and now serving as The Director of Mental Health for Nelson County Schools. Mrs. Holderman brings expertise in clinical diagnosis and treatment and has been instrumental in laying the foundation for the THRIVE Center. In her free time, Mrs. Holderman enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, riding her 4-wheeler, and spending time at the lake. Often you will hear Mrs. Holderman say that she is just “blessed to have a job helping others!”
Jesse is a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville. He received his Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Campbellsville University.
Jesse has worked in child welfare for 15 years, including foster care, residential supervision, and social work. He has worked with children from birth to 18 years of age. He supervised a residential house for at-risk teenage girls as well as children who were placed with Home of the Innocents for Emergency Shelter. He has worked with families as a social worker in order to help some of the state's most challenging cases to obtain treatment and permanency. The experiences Jesse has obtained through years of social work have given him a strong background in trauma-informed care.
Jesse has 3 beautiful children and a loving wife. He enjoys doing anything in the outdoors. Jesse is a lifelong UofL fan and loves going to football games with his family. Jesse has obtained a Level 1 certification in Muay Thai Kickboxing for the World Thai Boxing Association and hopes to find a way to incorporate Muay Thai into therapy as there are many mental and physical health benefits.

Megan Hayden is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with experience working with youth in foster care and in residential facilities, community based services, and acute outpatient services. Megan got her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University and her master's degree in counseling with an emphasis in clinical mental health counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. Megan is formally trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Megan uses a client-centered, wrap around approach to best meet the needs of the children and families.
Ariana Marshall is an intern through Lindsey Wilson College where she will obtain her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She received her Bachelor's degree through Liberty University.
Ariana enjoys reading, binge watching Friends, spending time with her family and friends, helping out and being a part of my local church, and absolutely loves taking naps whenever she can! She is passionate about helping others, talking to people and hearing their stories. She believes she has truly found a career where she does not feel like she's working and also thinks that is because of the amazing team she gets the privilege to be a part of.
Mary Ellen is a licensed professional clinical counselor who has worked in educational and clinical settings for over ten years. She has a bachelor's degree from Berea College, a master's degree in School Counseling from Morehead State University, and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Mary Ellen is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and many other play-based, trauma-informed modalities. Mary Ellen wants her students, families, and schools to know that their needs, concerns, and experiences are important to her. She believes that building safety, trust, and a strong therapeutic relationship helps to encourage healing, promote change, and increase resilience.
In her spare time, Mary Ellen enjoys listening to music, attending concerts, reading, traveling, engaging in creative pursuits (especially crafting, art, and baking), and spending time with her family, friends, and pets (dog Lucy June and cats Littlefoot and Leroy).
Angel Probus is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and obtained her Masters of Education from Eastern Kentucky University. She has experience working with various age groups in intensive outpatient settings, homes, and schools. Specifically, her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, ADHD, trauma, and substance use. Angel believes therapy is not a one-size-fits-all and works to meet individual needs. She hopes to help children and families become the healthiest version of themselves. Angel enjoys spending time with her family, being at the lake, and traveling in her free time.
Ruthie Walton is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in music therapy from the University of Louisville. Following the completion of her clinical practicum and coursework, Ruthie completed her music therapy internship at a nonprofit education center serving children and adolescents with autism and developmental differences. After acquiring her board certification credentials, she continues to work with individuals and groups to address mental wellness and diverse learning needs.
Outside of music therapy, Ruthie is an accomplished violinist, singer, and guitarist. She enjoys performing and sharing her musicianship with others. Ruthie is also passionate about reading books in her spare time and loves spending quality time with her family and two dogs.
