Review your program and course goals and check that they still fit your discipline and map cleanly to the university's degree goals and the CAS Competencies. That mapping becomes your curriculum map. Decide as a program whether each goal holds up or needs revision, anything from clearer wording to new goals. You'll learn to record all of it in Planning and Self Study so it lives as a program record, not a file on one person's computer.

• Schedule a 60 to 90 minute meeting with all teaching professionals (TPs) who teach required courses in your    

        curriculum.

• Have everyone watch the three videos below before meeting.

• Before that meeting, share your existing curriculum map (provided by the assessment team). Have everyone note 

        individually which goals are still relevant, which need revision, and which should be retired.

• In the meeting, compare notes. Draft about five goals or learning outcomes then map them to your core and 

        required courses using the ‘x’ and IRM (Introduce, Reinforce, Master) methods.

• Discuss the pre-work and take questions.

• Learn to use Planning & Self Study to update program learning outcomes, add success outcomes (optional), and 

        complete curriculum mapping.

• Draft a realistic plan for assessing all program goals over the next three to four years.
