Before Getting Started

Make sure you have a copy of the text that you want to use in Aware:

• • Digital copies that can be copied and pasted into Aware work best

    • Do not use a screenshot of the text to paste into Aware as an image because the text-to-speech will not read the text correctly, zoom functions may not work as well, and color overlay won't work 

    • If you have a pdf copy only, you can: 

      • Highlight the text on the pdf, copy & paste it into Aware or

      • Use Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise License to turn the pdf into a Word Document

    • You may copy visual images (such as pictures, graphs, or charts) from the text to paste into Aware 

  • If you don't have a digital copy, you can type the text directly into Aware
