Contract instructors are paid through North East Florida Educational Consortium whose fiscal agent is Putnam County Schools. We are a part of the Florida Retirement System (FRS).
Contract instructors are paid three times per year for each successful student completion. Checks are issued at the end of each semester (January and July) and after any summer completions (August). Instructor fees are determined by platform and workload required and will be discussed during the virtual interview.
Teaching assignments are determined by student enrollment at the discretion of MyDistrict Virtual School administration. Students are assigned during the 180-days of the school year but may extend into summer.
There are many steps to complete before a teacher is assigned students in one of the online systems. It requires the work of multiple entities following timelines that we have little control over, so please be patient if you are selected.
