Needham High School
MISSION:
As a result of instruction in the Fine and Performing Arts, all Needham Students will develop skills in and an understanding of creating, performing and presenting, responding, and connecting; the four components of the creative process.
VISION STATEMENT:
As a core academic subject, Needham Public School Students will engage in a rigorous standards based arts education, rooted in the creative process, which further develops a student's ability to communicate, think creatively, problem solve, and collaborate. Social emotional and 21st Century Skills are inherently taught in and through the arts. All students will become skilled in the four components of the creative process as outlined by the National Standards for the Arts and work towards developing the competencies outlined in the Portrait of A Needham Graduate.
At Needham High School all students take at least eight credits of Fine and Performing Arts classes to fulfill their graduation requirements. Many take more as driven by personal interest and goals.
Just another Monday morning for the Needham Rocket Robins small choral ensemble, who were the opening act this morning for the 2025 National Learning Forward Annual Conference held in Boston! Check out their performance HERE.
Kudos to Kiersten Blume, Mia Allen, Amelia Broderick, Nadia M Tess, Simi Basak, and Katie Memory for their performance and for all of the work that goes into making amazing performances like this one possible!
Many thanks to Jonathan VanderWoude for his support of these students.
Students were selected for this opportunity through an audition submission and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishment.
Under construction! Coming soon......
