Admission to the Chamber Music Course will be by application and audition video only. For all students applying to chamber music, every effort will be made for placement in a chamber ensemble; top priority will be given to those needing to register for chamber music in order to fulfill graduation requirements. Only complete, pre-formed ensembles or individuals will be considered for chamber music placement; partial group requests will not be accepted. All students, including those applying as part of a complete pre-formed group as well as individuals, will need to fill out an individual application and submit audition videos within that application. Each ensemble will have 13 hours of private coaching. Groups will be scheduled to participate in two performance classes over the course of the semester, and in December, ensembles will perform in a recital. Each ensemble will focus on one work with an emphasis on in-depth knowledge of the score, high-level artistry, and polished performance.
