All scholarship applications are paper applications that are available to seniors unless noted as an online application only.  

Additional Scholarship Resources:

General Scholarships

Hope Pierce Tartt Scholarship, P. O. Box 1964, Marshall, Texas 75671

Students must be U. S. citizens and have resided in Gregg, Harrison, Mario, Panola, or Upshur Counties for 24 months. Residence is determined as of September 1 of the school year. Applications must be made through the Financial Aid Office of the school of your choice. Participating schools must be non-tax supported colleges or universities in Texas or Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Grants of up to $5,000 are awarded for each year of attendance not to exceed four years. An applicant must be a full-time student and demonstrate financial need. The student is eligible when the combined adjusted gross income for all family members supporting one or more college students does not exceed $160,000.

Terry Foundation Scholarships

The Terry Freshman Scholarship, known as the Terry Traditional Scholarship, is awarded to Texas high school seniors who have been accepted for admission to one of the Terry-affiliated public universities in Texas.  They are:  The University of Texas at Austin; Texas A&M University; University of Houston; Texas State University; The University of Texas at Dallas; The University of Texas at San Antonio; Texas Tech University; University of North Texas; Texas Woman's University; The University of Texas at Arlington; The University of Texas at El Paso.

Applicants must demonstrate strong academic abilities as evidence by grades and SAT/ACT scores, have a record of leadership in school and in the community, demonstrate financial need as evidenced by the completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)/  Applicants must be high school graduates and must be admitted to a Terry-affiliated college or university as a full-time entering freshman for the upcoming fall semester.  Applicants must apply and commit to residing on campus for the first year of school.  Applicants must be nominated by one of the Terry-affiliated Texas public universities listed.
