Through my study of United States Imperialism, I was able to write about the relative importance of the causes of US imperialism. With this, one can see the global effects of United States colonization spurred by late 19th century imperialism.

For a final paper in British Literature, I focused on totalitarian regimes across the world, with specific mention of China under Xi Jin Ping and the United States, and compared them to the world of Big Brother in George Orwell's 1984. This allowed investigation into the true freedom in the world, and how many nations have autocratic regimes.

Prison reform and EITs

As a final research project in Catholic Morality, I chose to focus on the United States prison system with a focus on Guantanamo Bay Prison. By dissecting topics like the prison industrial index and even going into the Enhanced interrogation techniques used in detention facilities, I examined the international and human rights issues surrounding detention in the United States.
