Text: Judson, "Abstract Algebra, Theory and Applications", 2022 Edition, available for free download at text
The text by John Fraleigh, "A First Course in Abstract Algebra" is also a reasonable text, and it is fine if you read it to help you understand topics from the course.
There will be two hour exams, the first is scheduled for Monday October 7, and the second for Monday November 18. The final exam is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Your grade is based on 15% from the first hour exam, 15% from the second hour exam, 30% from the final exam, and 40% together from homework and group work.
