UNDERGRADUATE FINANCIAL AID

The University of Notre Dame has a venerable history of attracting the world’s most promising students, regardless of their financial status. Students arrive on campus in pursuit of a world-class education and leave not just with a diploma, but having formed life-long relationships while developing in mind, body, and spirit. Students emerge from Our Lady’s University with the skills, knowledge, and faith to be tremendous forces for good in their communities and the world.

Thanks to the Cavanaugh Council and President’s Circle, $15 million was contributed this academic year to provide financial aid to undergraduate students.

The University’s highest priority is to ensure that financial aid is available for all students who have worked to earn their spot at Notre Dame. Funding for financial aid is essential to supporting students from many diverse backgrounds, including first-generation and Pell Grant eligible students, as well as those from middle-class families with two or more children in college. Notre Dame is committed to enabling exceptional young people to realize their God-given potential, regardless of their economic background.

"As a student from a low-income family background, I cannot express how grateful I am for the generosity that has enabled my college experience. I couldn't have dreamed the life I am living now thanks to so many individuals who have contributed to my financial aid and allowed me to learn, grow, and discover myself further at the University of Notre Dame."

"I would like to thank the Cavanaugh Council and President’s Circle from the bottom of my heart for their generosity and contribution to my financial aid. My dad was accepted into Notre Dame when he was my age, but was unable to attend because of the cost, so being able to go here myself is very meaningful. Thank you for helping me and others be able to come to this amazing university."
