Dear Cavanaugh Council and President’s Circle Members,

We are pleased to share with you the 2023 Cavanaugh Council and President’s Circle Impact Report. I hope you find this Report as inspiring as I do, as you see the fruits of the many important initiatives you have made possible. We are deeply grateful for your support and dedication. Thanks to you, Notre Dame is able to live out its distinctive mission to be a force for good to a world in need. As the premier Catholic research university in the world, Notre Dame’s leadership in higher education and society has never been more important.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for the many ways you have supported me as president over the last 19 years. Serving as Notre Dame’s president has been the unanticipated, undeserved, and wonderful privilege of my life. While I am proud of all that we have accomplished together, I am confident that Notre Dame’s best years lie ahead. When my term as president ends on July 1, it will be a privilege to serve the University in new ways, as I return to teaching, writing, and ministry on campus.
