MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
In 2013, the Cavanaugh Council and President’s Circle established a partnership with the Meruelo Family Center for Career Development that has continued to strengthen each year. This partnership has enabled more than 1,150 students to benefit from individualized career paths, industry insights, and personal mentorship from volunteer Cavanaugh Council & President’s Circle members. Through this initiative, mentors offer the wisdom of their own experience, guidance, and networking connections, setting students up for extraordinary success.
My summer as a Cavanaugh Council and President's Circle mentee was a truly enriching experience. The insights garnered from my mentor were invaluable and have left a lasting imprint on my perspective. I am immensely grateful for the chance to connect with such a distinguished Notre Dame alumnus through this program. The mentoring relationship we fostered is something I anticipate carrying into my professional realm, and I have the Cavanaugh Council and President's Circle program to extend my gratitude towards for facilitating such a meaningful connection. The lessons learned and the networks built during this period have become a cornerstone for my future endeavors.

These weekends include a myriad of events with opportunities to hear from amazing students impacted by the generosity of these unrestricted gifts. They also have opportunities to engage with University leaders, students, and other members.

Washington, D.C. Biennial Symposium:
Insight and Outlook on National and Global Affairs
Hosted by Notre Dame’s president Fr. John Jenkins, Cavanaugh Council & President’s Circle members are invited to this two-day symposium held in various premier locations across the nation’s capital. Offering a balanced and broad range of perspectives, highly respected authorities in government and the media present and discuss critical issues facing our nation and world.
Bi-Annual Conference Calls with Fr. Jenkins
and other University Leaders
Members are invited to a conference call every June and December to hear directly from Fr. Jenkins and another member of the senior leadership team regarding University priorities and funding allocations. During these calls, members also have the opportunity to ask questions in an open discussion format.
