"Scholarship of Teaching of Learning"
SoTL, or the scholarship of teaching and learning, systematically examines a variety of teaching practices to determine the driving factors of positive learning outcomes (Vanderbilt University Center for Teaching, n.d.). SoTL focuses on the need for continuous improvement and adaptability involved in understanding, creating, and sustaining effective teaching practices (ELON, n.d.). This involves the implementation of inquiry-based learning practices with an emphasis on the accessibility of teaching and learning resources/research to SoTL practitioners (University of Toronto Libraries, n.d.).

Increases publication productivity (Kodman, 2012).
